The author's intention is to write an on-going series of blogs about the history and genealogy of the Clark, Jones, Corbin and McCauley families. A collection of historic and contemporary photographs will be used to illustrate the writings. The author will also write an occasional article about the history of his hometown, Maple Hill, Kansas.

A Corbin Family Reunion in Ayr, Nebraska
The blog author obtained this photograph from a Corbin cousin, Mrs. Betty Nunemaker Harris during a visit to her home in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1980. She and I could both identify the Corbin Sisters standing in the middle of the photograph, but we could not identify many of the others. The reunion and photograph are taken in front of the John R. and Sarah Catherine (Corbin) Marshall home in Ayr, Adams County, Nebraska. Fourth from the left end standing with a fur cap on, is John R. Marshall. Standing in front of and slightly to his left is his wife, Sarah Catherine (Corbin) Marshall. Standing next to her is Nancy Anna (Corbin) Belle and just to her left is Mary Elizabeth (Corbin) Wilder.
I would be delighted if anyone of this blog readers could identify others in the photograph. Just send names in a Comment at the end of this post or you may email be directly at:

Many thanks and happy trails!
